Julie Rouanne

Author

Julie Rouanne was born in the Hautes-Pyrénées and grew up in a house very close to the mountains. She remembers vividly the landscapes and sensations of her childhood, which she draws on to recount the unique experience of growing up. She feeds her writing practice with her travels and encounters with worlds that are not her own. With a master’s degree in speculative fiction, Julie Rouanne lives in Brussels, dividing her time between her work as a bookseller and her writing.

She is the author of the Fanzino-Radio podcast, the children’s book Ici souffle le vent (Here Blows the Wind), published in 2025 by Panthera and illustrated by Mélodie Baschet, and Ito, published in 2025 by Pastel and illustrated by Violette Pasques.
